Leaving Their Mark Across Central America and Beyond, DelCampo Sports

Heart, Hustle, and History: This Is How DelCampo Competes

These victories highlight the strength of our elite sports program and the dedication of our homegrown talent—students who have been nurtured since their early years to reach their highest potential. Guided by passionate and committed coaches, our Wildcats have proven that true champions are forged through resilience, teamwork, and character. They shine not only in competition but also as role models who embody the values of excellence and integrity.

Over 70% of our student body balances academic responsibilities with participation in at least one sport—upholding our belief in “a healthy mind in a healthy body.” Our wide and inclusive Extracurricular Sports Program welcomes all students from both DelCampo School and DelCampo Academy, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to succeed, grow, and thrive in alignment with our mission and vision.

The unstoppable spirit of our Wildcats continues to inspire our community—on the field, in the classroom, and beyond.

Volleyball: The Pre-Varsity Girls Dominate

Our pre-varsity girls’ volleyball team claimed 1st place in ABSH, showcasing incredible teamwork and talent. Their two-year run in AASCA has been nothing short of remarkable, establishing them as a team to watch in Central American volleyball.

Chess: Strategy Starts Young

Chess is making waves across all age groups at DelCampo. What started as a small club has become a movement. During AASCA Chess—even the youngest students showed interest, developing focus, resilience, and respect for the game.

Our delegation proudly secured 2nd place in the U15 category for both girls and boys, and beyond that, our school made history by earning a record-breaking total of 19 medals

Basketball: Building a Future Dynasty

Our basketball teams are in the midst of an exciting transformation. With renewed training and promising talent, we are forecasting breakthrough seasons in upcoming tournaments. The most remarkable moment came from the varsity boys team winning a prestigious tournament organized by al local university, with a perfect record of 5 - 0.

Boys Soccer Team

In a nail-biting AASCA final held in Managua, Nicaragua, our boys’ team earned 2nd place, falling only in a dramatic penalty shootout. Yet just weeks later, they stormed back to claim the ABSH Varsity championship with a spectacular chilena goal—already hailed as one of the most iconic moments in our school’s sports history.

For the last two years, this team has gone undefeated on the field, proving they don’t just play the game—they dominate it. Our Boys’ Varsity Team made history by not only winning the ABSH championship but also earning the Sportsmanship Award—an extraordinary double victory that speaks volumes about the values our teachers instill both on and off the field.

Tennis

A standout year with multiple regional championships including the AASCA tournament we hosted in March, demonstrating skill, focus, and sportsmanship on and off the court as it was demonstrated by our U20 girls and boys teams winning the Sportsmanship Award.

It was through their skill and teamwork that the U15 girls and boys teams exceeded expectations and claimed the bronze medal.

🤝 Sportsmanship & Leadership

Our Wildcats left it all on the field this year — but trust us, this is just the opening whistle. Next season? It’s game on, and the roar is only getting louder!
