Specific Admissions Requirements by Academic Division

The following documents are required for your child’s application process and must be presented at the time of registration.

 

Pre-School / Early Years Program

Age Requirements

  • Toddlers: 2 years of age

  • Nursery 3 years of age

  • Pre-Kinder: 4 years of age

  • Kindergarten: 5 years of age

If a child was born between the months’ of September and December, DCS’s Developmental Assessment will determine the final admission decision.

  1. When DCS Campus opens, a Campus Tour and Interview with Admissions Director is required for families living in Tegucigalpa; otherwise, if DCS Campus remains closed or family lives outside the city, a virtual meeting and interview with Admission’s Director will suffice.

  2. Either an in-person or virtual Developmental Assessment by Counselor and meeting with Pre-School Principal is required.

  3. Original Birth Certificate for Honduran Citizens or Citizenship Documentation for International Students (Birth Certificate and/or coloured copy of passport apostilled or authenticated)

  4. Two photographs size 3 X 4 cm

  5. Copy of Vaccination Records

  6. Certificate of Studies from previous School (prior schooling), if applicable. These include:

    *Transcripts reflecting Nursery or Pre-Kínder grades and marking system used

    *Certificate of Good Standing / Discipline Reports

  7. If transfer student, please provide grades and progress reports for the application year. (Nursery, Pre-Kinder & Kinder)

  8. Online-Admissions Application Form

  9. Any other previous or current educational information such as psychological / psycho-educational evaluations, if applicable


Elementary Years Program
(1-5 grades)

Age Requirements

Grade 1: 6 years of age

Grades 2-12: Students are evaluated according to their age and academic level to determine placement. Generally, a student will not be admitted if he/she is more than two years older than the average age of students in his/her grade.

  1. When DCS Campus opens, a Campus Tour and Interview with Admissions Director is required for families living in Tegucigalpa; otherwise, if DCS Campus remains closed or family lives outside the city, a virtual meeting and interview with Admission’s Director will suffice.

  2. Admissions Test or current Standardized Test Scores from the previous school, and/or a virtual assessment by Counselor/Principal is required.

  3. Original Birth Certificate for Honduran Citizens or Citizenship Documentation for International Students (Birth Certificate and/or coloured copy of passport apostilled or authenticated)

  4. Two photographs size 3 X 4 cm

  5. Copy of Vaccination Records

  6. Certificate of Studies from the previous School which includes:

    *Transcripts reflecting prior scholastic grades and marking system used. For grades 4 and 5, a minimum of 3 years is required. For grade 1, please present a copy of Pre-School Diploma

    *Certificate of Good Standing / Discipline Reports

    *Certificate of Solvency

  7. Recommendations Forms or Letters by previous Teachers, Principal, and /or Counselor if applicable

  8. If transfer student, please provide grades and progress reports for application year

  9. Online Admissions Application Form

  10. Validation of International Transcripts for international/foreign students only

  11. Any other previous or current educational information such as psychological / psycho-educational evaluations, if applicable

  12. For DelCampo Academy applicants, a current complete psycho-educational evaluation is required


Middle School Program (6-8 grades)

&

High School Program *(9-11 grades)

Age Requirements

Grades 2-12: Generally, a student will not be admitted if he/she is more than two years older than the average age of students in his/her grade.

    *Certificate of Solvency

  6. Student Questionnaire Form (has to be filled by hand by the student), if applicable

  7. Recommendations Forms or Letters by previous Teachers, Principal, and /or Counselor, if applicable
