Other information: The event will take place at American School of Tegucigalpa.

This music festival will be divided into three major parts:

The first part consists of differentiated workshops for the participants. All student- musicians will have a chance to improve their skills, learn something new, and share their musical experiences with students from other schools.

The second part includes the performance by different music groups of participating schools such as concert band, jazz big band, string ensembles, choir ensembles, duos, trios, quartet, quintet, and instrumental or vocal soloists etc. Every participating group and/or soloist will have the chance to perform in front of qualified adjudicators that will provide constructive feedback.

The third part of the festival will be the AASCA Honor Ensembles. These ensembles are formed by the participants of the AASCA music festival. (As in previous years, we encourage participation with as many students as possible. However, in order to maintain a high level of quality, the musicians in the honor ensembles must have at least the ability to perform music at a level of 2.5 or above on a scale from 1 to 6. The selection of each student to participate in the honor ensembles will be determined by each participating school’s musical director.)
What kind of Honor Ensembles will be available on this festival?

There are five Honor Ensembles:

Concert Band
Jazz Big Band
Concert Choir
Symphony Orchestra
Percussion Ensemble
